Lifecare Wellness Counseling is a Psychotherapy practice located in downtown Tuscaloosa, AL. We are committed to serving the people in our community. We are wholly open to accepting all individuals as well as their pursuit of wellness. We work persistently and intentionally to foster an environment conducive to emotional and social development which means it must also be a welcoming environment respectful of the diversity of backgrounds and appreciative of the richness in the variety of perspectives.

We offer individual, couples, group, and family counseling for a wide range of issues including anxiety/depression, mood disorders, ADD/ADHD, grief/loss, trauma, relational conflict and etc.
Meet The Team

Darlene Terry, LICSW
​Darlene attended the University of Alabama and received her degree in social work. She then began working in the Mental Health and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy field in 1993 and 1995 since receiving her MSW.
Darlene Terry spent the last 10 years working with the military to provide them with any assistance needed. Her passion is helping people feel better and helping people through the journey of getting their mental health and start their journey to feeling better.

Melissa Nippert, LPC-S

Working in the Mental Health and Substance Abuse counseling field since 2003 (2008 post-Masters), Melissa Nippert has years of counseling experience administering assessments, implementing specialized evidenced-based interventions, and coordinating community referrals as needed for children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of mental health, substance abuse, and social-emotional needs.
She has a strong passion for working with others to effectively and efficiently uncover core issues and discover strengths, work toward practical solutions and then celebrate breakthroughs.

Melissa earned both her bachelor's degree in Psychology and her Masters' Degree (Community Mental Health Counseling, with a Concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy) at the University of Alabama. She values an authentic, trusting, non-judgmental therapeutic relationship and provides an integrative approach unique to each individual, couple or family.

Randall Campbell, LICSW

Randall is originally from Kentucky but has lived in Tuscaloosa for the last 10 years. Randall’s specializations are in Substance Abuse and Anger Management.
He has worked alongside young athletes to help them overcome
substance abuse at Texas Tech University and The University of Alabama.
He worked at Bradford Hospital, where he gained experience working with people of all ages. He is certified in Alabama for Alcohol and Drug Counseling, Peer Support, and in Anger Management.

Randall graduated in 2017 from the University of Alabama with a graduate degree in Social Work. Since then, Randall has been involved in collegiate recovery counseling, peer support, and working one-on-one with individuals to help them to take control of their lives in a healthy way.

Randall uses CBT, DBT, and psychotherapy to help his patients become the best versions of themselves. He is married to his wife, Lauren, who is an elementary school teacher in the Tuscaloosa School System. They also have the sweetest schnauzer named Ollie.

Randall’s advice to those dealing with Mental Health Crisis and Substance Abuse is, “Reach out, find someone who can help get you what you need; you don’t have to do it alone”
